How it works

Three layers working together, on a fully cloud-based system — no servers or consoles at the council or the farm.

Misgav – the centre

A civilian monitoring and coordination centre staffed 24/7 by trained operators. Every alert reaches one screen with video, location and an event log. The centre verifies, records and alerts the farmer, the security coordinator, the rapid-response team and the security forces — and follows the event until it is closed.

“I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, they shall never hold their peace day nor night”

— Isaiah 62:6 (JPS 1917)

Kav – the detection layer

Laser sensors on a low mast draw a virtual fence around the farm and a dome above it. They detect a person or vehicle crossing the approaches and turn a camera towards the point. Detection works day and night, in fog and rain.

״אוֹ מִי־נָטָה עָלֶיהָ קָּו״

“Or who stretched the line upon it?”

— Job 38:5 (JPS 1917)

Eitam – the eye above

An autonomous observation drone in a protected station at the farm. On an alert it launches on its own to the point and streams day and thermal video to the centre and to phones. In routine it flies random day and night patrols, so there is no fixed pattern to exploit. Unarmed.

״מִשָּׁם חָפַר־אֹכֶל לְמֵרָחוֹק עֵינָיו יַבִּיטוּ״

“From thence she spieth out the prey; her eyes behold it afar off”

— Job 39:29 (JPS 1917)

What is installed at the farm

  • Detection unit and camera on a small mast or concrete block
  • Drone station with automatic charging
  • Solar power with 72-hour storage
  • Multi-carrier cellular communications
  • Final fit decided in a site survey for each farm

Also suits farms with no grid connection or permanent infrastructure.

Daily readiness checks

Every morning and every evening Misgav runs a readiness check on every component at every farm. A fault opens a service call immediately.

From detection to responders on site

  1. 1

    Detect

The detection layer picks up movement on the approaches to the farm.

  2. 2

    Verify

A Misgav operator sees the picture and confirms whether it is a real event.

  3. 3

    Picture on the phone

Live video and location go to the farmer, the security coordinator and the rapid-response team.

  4. 4

    Eye above

Eitam flies to the point and shows what is happening on the ground.

  5. 5

    Responders on site

The rapid-response team and security forces arrive with the full picture.

Every step is recorded — for debriefing, for enforcement and to protect farmers against false accusations.

What the system does not do

  • Observation, recording and alerting only. The drone is unarmed.
  • SARA does not command any force. Authority and decisions stay with the IDF, the Border Police, the Israel Police and the local rapid-response teams.
  • No classified information is held in the system.
